McSheplets prompt: Promise

There's a mcsheplets comm on this site, but it doesn't seem as up-to-date as the livejournal one. So I thought I'd crosspost, because I hate the idea of everyone ignoring that wonderful comm.

The McSheplets challenge this week:

Challenge #295 is:

Promise

How much can you trust someone's word? Do the natives tell the truth if they promise the team has nothing to fear? Does the SGC when it says Atlantis will return home soon? What are things that John or Rodney promise each other or themselves? And when are promises broken?

Next challenge "Other Side of the Deadline" will be posted December 17th 2018. Have fun!

You're welcome :D I asked velocitygrass if it was okay to crosspost and she said yes. She also said that after challenge #300, she'd be ceasing posting. She'll leave McSheplets up, but she won't be posting new challenges :( So next week I'm going to start over with challenge #1.

Velocitygrass let me know that after challenge #300, she was going to stop posting new prompts, though she'll leave the comm up. Can't decide if next week I should start with #1, or continue with #296...

I’ve saw mcsheplets mentioned a lot over the years but I don’t think I’ve fully understood what it was, lol! I probably should make more use of it!

Ooh. I'd heard of McSheplets but, incorrectly, assumed it was no longer running as I was so late to the fandom.

So, to clarify, how would I go about responding to a challenge? Does it need to be posted somewhere in particular?

You can post your response to ao3! There's a collection and there's a tag. I think it'd be great if you posted to the LJ - or here, since I guess the LJ is closing soon - saying, "Hey, I posted a fill for McSheplets Challenge #Whatever", but that's not really necessary either :)
