Spoilers: Nothing specific. I just finished watching the series, because I am late to every party, so yes, if you haven't watched it all there are some spoilers. However, I'm assuming at this point, if you haven't watched it and read this anyway, you expect to be spoiled a bit.
Summary: “The secret of flight is this -- you have to do it immediately, before your body realizes it is defying the laws.”

AU. Born into a world where a rare genetic mutation means that some people are born with wings, John has succeeded in hiding his “shifter” status for all of his adult life. According to U.S. law, exposure of his true nature must strip him of every human right. When it's a choice between keeping his secret or Rodney's life, the choice is easy for John; it's the aftermath of that revelation that will change everything for not only John, but all of Atlantis.
Author’s Ramble: My first fic in this fandom, and my first posted fic in a while. Deca enticed me with her super relaxed super low pressure Big Bang, and this is what emerged. I thought I'd cross-post here, because why not. I'm still newish to the fandom, but having so much fun!
